Good Tones, Tunes, anything?

Postby Maximon23 » Fri Jul 24, 2009 6:27 pm

I've really been psyched about gettin HOCM, just about to buy it, but I've been whirlin thru magick techniques since age 12. I'm 21, I'm ready to get a stronger grip on my practices.

I'm wondering, since this is a much more choas focused place, has anyone here utilized recorded music, or hypnotic mp3s that are useful in gettin into trance? I have my own random ass techniques i've used for entering alpha state but I'm hoping someone poppin around these places could give me an insight.

I've already been experimenting with brain entrainment systems of sound but I'd like a practicioners take on the topic.

Or, does anyone know where I could find some of those sweet simple percussion drumming recordings? The kind that starts slow, speeds up, slows.

In other words:

any good Magick Makin Music youve utilized to build/focus energy?

Sup Maximon,

I am the Anomaly. Welcome to the Prismatic Vortex. Feel free to jump into any convo's which catch your eye.

I have used fruity loops to create drum loops for meditation and ritual work. The trick is to begin slow and end in a crescendo which would metaphorically be associated with charging or firing the sigil/spell. I recommend finding a hi jacked copy of this recording software. Zero-One is pretty knowledgeable about using sounds to enter trance states, hit her up in a private message if you please but she is mine sir, a dual to the death will more than likely occur if you try anything funny with my digital mistress.

Where are you located? I am starting a study group in the Detroit area if you are interested.

Thanks,
~Fra. Anomaly~

P.S. Alpha waves coincide with normal cognitive awareness. Then Beta waves which correspond with a light trance, then Theta waves which are conducive to a very heavy trance and finally Delta waves which are associated with extremely heavy trance states and unconsciousness. Theta waves are the aim of gnosis in my eyes but Im sure people around the scene would disagree with this estimation. Not many would, but a few. I like to argue though so bring it fuckers.

ah! Fruity loops, I've heard of that. The only programs I currently have worked with are the Acoustica ones, like Beatcraft, but it's a pretty dumbed down tool. Looks like i'll have to torrent some of that fruity loops, seein as how this is more than the second time I've come across a mention of it.

no worries, MY digital goddess is sitting right next to me but...she's playin "JeWEL quest" eh..thats about as choatic she gets these days haaha

Yeah, the Alpha state, funny enough I just picked that up from a meeting with Laurie Cabot THE salem witch....so I've been throwing the term around pretty loosely as just another definition of gnosis. I long ago left the pomp and pagentry of the wicca side of things. URHHH, I AGREE--DEATH to the old gods, pagans just....should drink their mead and stay the fuck away. Hoodoo is about as pompy as I get, thats why Im psyched about getting V's book. Didn't stop and consider the Alpha, Delta, Theta scheme and their associated states. I have been trying to work the those binaural programs, but am bit clueless when it comes to rendering a fullty listenable spectrum of frequency depths and heights. Have you heard anything about the Centerpointe hemisync shite? The brain entrainment shit for people who can bust the bank on prepackaged enlightenment, well I torrented it but...shit just gets too involved, plus, I don't trust fuckers like that.

What I've got in my head as for listening is something that will take me deep and then allow me to impress, then escalate out of the state. maybe even audially chanting once I hit my trance-peak.

I'm in a little big town somewhere in Missouri, but...thats' soon to change. I'll have to check out the Chicago threads (just got on this site today) it'd be nice to hook up with an anticult for once.
But these are just my musings.

Thanks for the tips man, and reminding me of Fruity loops that I completely forgot about. Sounds like a good syncedUP reason to download it now.

What books have you read about Chaos Magick? You should check out the chaos magick audio CD's. these have a lot of songs and guided meditations which are designed to stimulate the left cerebral hemisphere of the brain.

You dont need music to hit a trance state, just a healthy dose of Liber MMM on a daily basis.

ah,I own Condensed and Liber Null, and many things unpublished in the interwebs but mostly I asked about sounds here because it's something I like to look into. I do agree with what I think the idea of choas magick evokes, and it's mainly the mindset I work under in all of my reality hacking.

I use trance in everyone of my hoodoo, astral, or completely madeUP works. But I figured this a better place then any to bring up using audio inductions. Ive worked and played heavily in the areas of entheogenic induced states to launch intention. Sometimes with-scary success. Not entirely a 'good' scary. but an authentic type.

In the past I've made 80minute long running music that I underlaid varying frequencies in, just wondered who else has practiced in this way.

Wow, eighty minutes long!!! That is pretty impressive. The longest meditation session I have ever conducted was three and a half hours long. The purpose was to put a candle out with a gesture. If you want to experience a complete loss of lust of result, give it a whirl.

I could get down on a little audio assistance, everything helps.

I have mainly practiced from a inhibitory stand point through out my career. I do however enjoy a good drum beat for some sigil launching. What are some of your scary results? Do tell, I like first hand accounts.

explain some of your made up works if you will. We can work on some sort of trade basis if you like. I have many rituals posted around the Vortex you can reference as examples of my style.

My first results were the unfocused type that spring out of nowhere with deafening synchronicity.

Ingesting a powerful psychedelic a few hours after forgetting I'd cast a sigil....I was launched into a completely unfamillar mindstate. Completely out of the norm, for any of my usual activities. not an elemntary psyched up state, my statement of intent that had to do with harnessing an altered state, basically bit me in the ass for 10 hours, and weeks, months, years later I can still feel it's effects. The actual sigil was launched in the good old fashioned technique. When I was 16, just getting into grant morrisons take on AOS's take.

damn, since time had bent I feel alot older now. haha

music was there and had a determining factor in launching this state but I wasn't using any that I had edited back then.

I'll look through some of my old tracks. you might be able to lay a second source over it or just listen to it as is.

Hi
Theres a good open source program for binaural beats that I've been using for a while its called sbagen - http://uazu.net/sbagen/
Its got lots of good presets and you can write your own programs as well if you're good at that sort of thing
cheers
